Coppa Italia 2014-15 (futsal)

The Coppa Italia 2014-2015 is the thirtieth edition of the event and the twelfth played with the formula final eight. Teams enter into the cup by finishing in the top eight position in the Serie A table at the half way point of the regular season.〔(Divisione Calcio a 5, Comunicato Ufficiale N.1 2014/2015 ) divisionecalcioa5.it〕 As in the two previous years, the dispute of the final eight was combined with that of the Italian Under-21 Cup and the Italian Cup women . The three events will take place between February 26 and March 1, 2015 at PalaRoma of Montesilvano (which will host the quarter and semi-finals of the Italian Cup Under-21) and the indoor stadium John Paul II in Pescara (which will host all the other meetings).〔(502/33371/0 Final Eight in 2015, drawn the quarterfinals: Serie A derby Lazio-Real Rieti ) divisionecalcioa5.it〕 As usual, the final eight will take place on a parquet removable black supplied by the Divisione Calcio a 5.〔(Divisione Calcio a 5, Comunicato Ufficiale N.455 2014/2015 - Allegato 1 ) divisionecalcioa5.it〕 The limits of participation of the players are the same in force in Serie A, or in meetings there is a requirement to field at least five players trained in Italy, of which at least one born after January 1, 1992. All matches of the men's main event will be broadcast live on Rai Sport 2.
==Formula==
The tournament will be a knockout competition. The first eight classified after the first half of the season are grouped into two groups: group A and group B. Group A are the first four of the standings, while in group B are the fifth to eighth place teams. The pairs were determined by a draw which was held at the Council Chamber of the City of Pescara at the Press conference of February 12, 2015.〔(Division Soccer 5, Official Statement Ranked # 470 2014/2015 ) divisionecalcioa5.it〕 The winners go through to the semi-finals and then the final for the championship match. The winning team will be given the Coppa Italia trophy and twenty-five gold medals; the runner-up will get a plaque and 25 silver medals. The formula states that in the quarterfinals and semifinals, in case of a tie after normal time, the winner will be determined by penalty kicks. In the end, in case of a tie after 40 ', there will be two extra times of 5 minutes each. If still tied at the end of the same, the cup will be awarded on penalties.
